On Penn's Campus, 7' Menorah

Tuesday evening, the first night of Chanukah, outside the Van Pelt Library Penn students joined in the lighting of a 7' Grand Menorah. The lighting was led by the Presidents of AEPi, Danny Sabra, SDT, Beth Newton & the President of the 2009 graduating class, Bret Paulmater, respectively, along with JHP/Chabad Rabbi, Levi Haskelevich.
Concurrent with the lighting, students noshed on Latkes & donuts while listening to Chanukah music in gleeful spirit. Similar holiday fetes occurred throughout the JHP campus communities.

Sinai Scholars Meet after Menorah Lighting

Examining the core values that guide a moral society: love and respect, gratitude and loyalty, faith and integrity, the Sinai Scholars met at the Lubavitch House at Penn. JHP & other students attended a class on honoring your mother & father that was taught by Rabbi Menachem Schmidt.

With an innovative program of study, activities and national networking, the Sinai Scholars Society offers a fresh and exciting context for Jewish life and learning on university campuses.
