Pre - New Years’ Celebrations, JHP, Jews, apples, honey, songs, merriment, L’Chaim, Mitzvahs, Shabbos …….. Our network of JHP interns recruited hundreds of new students to the JHP fold as L’Shanah Tova parties were everywhere throughout JHP campuses last week.
High-brow Hob-knobbing with the Jewish Set at the Old City Jewish Arts Center
To add to the high-brow ambiance during the Official Grande Opening of the Old City Jewish Arts Center, Josh Madoff entertained the crowd by tickling the keys in his “Afro-Juban style,” while invited guests of Menachem Schmidt & friends & family of the artists totaling about 100 viewed and hob-knobbed amongst the works of art. On exhibit were captivating renditions in different mediums of each letter of the Aleph Beis by various renowned Jewish artists. Menachem spoke briefly about plans for the arts center to be opened daily for cultural Jewish educational classes.
Quote of the Week
“I feel that JHP has made a true impact on the lives of its participants and especially interns. Even after only 1 month of being part of JHP, I can see how devoted everyone is and proud to be a part of the organization. It is not just an organization people go to because they feel they should because they are Jewish, rather people want to stay connected and learn more about their religion.”

JHP- A Deeper Look
JHP’s outreach programs have expanded into mainline cultural activities. Through these artistic pursuits and exposure, JHP provides Jewish students an entertaining, educational, broadening perspective of Jewish involvement and contributions in mainline activities in addition to traditional Jewish programming. As a result, JHP creates a positive comfort level in being Jewish in the unaffiliated and enforces Jewish pride in the initiated.
