A Timely Excerpt from Our Executive Director…….
“Due to current events, Israel finds itself with mounting pressure on all campuses. Many organizations are working with students to do important work on campus; however, do they reach the students that are apathetic or do not want to be bothered? Jewish Heritage Programs does. There are many “neutral students” that can become part of the arsenal of students who advocate for Israel. JHP is in a unique situation to “activate” those neutral students. When our interns reach out to their friends that are not involved and encourage them to support Israel in many subtle ways, the results are very effective. These students are not necessarily interested in carrying banners, but they might sign letters, make calls, etc. Most importantly, they can and do convince their friends that neutralism to Arab & anti-Israel propaganda is in effect supporting that effort. The propaganda war on campus is being fought in the dorm rooms & fraternity & sorority houses perhaps even more than in the classroom & at open demonstrations.”
