Student’s Unwavering Desire for Israel
Last week, JHP Assistant Fellow at Penn, Julie Wertheimer, hosted a small Penn lead intern retreat at her parents’ residence, Dr. John and Mrs. Barbara Wertheimer of Rydal, PA. New JHP lead interns bonded, planned for new recruitment, set the semester calendar of events. Flash…Because of JHP’s influence, 4 of the 6 JHP leads have been to Israel and the other 2 are planning to go on the JHP Birthright trip in December. In no way are the current events deterring their plans. JHP Draw at Pitt
Stacey Formal, JHP Fellow and her interns drew 60 new potential interns at Pitt’s Activities Fair and later attracted 55 very interested students to JHP Welcome back BBQ.
JHP Rabbi in the News: It’s a Boy!
JHP Penn resident Rabbi, Levi Haskelevich and his wife, Nechama were blessed with the honor and fortune last night by celebrating the Bris of their new borne baby boy, Yisroel Leib, in the Lubavitch House at Penn. Mazel Tov!

JHP- A Deeper Look
JHP reaches these unaffiliated Jewish students in ways that can have an effect on other events in the world. When one student makes a strong connection with Judaism and Israel, a Mitzvah, this can have a positive effect on Israeli events, and the magnitude of the effect increases when more students make that Jewish/Israel connection.
