JHP Lights the Spark at Temple
JHP lights the Jewish spark in the unaffiliated at JHP's Shabbat for100. So inspired, wanting more Yiddishkeit, the students attended the Matzah Ball, at the Raven Lounge in Center City. This event, a semi-formal was a huge success, bringing more students from Temple into the JHP fold.
JHP Delaware -- Rouse Students & Emotionally Move Parents JHPSenior Send-off had seniors stirring up that Jewish connection in the unaffiliated freshman & underclassman. These seniors pumped up the new students so much that they became committed to Yiddishkeit & to the success of JHP on campus.
After senior send off, a Parents Shabbat Dinner was held where 65 people attended. Per Alexis Beibelberg, JHP Fellow, it was awesome. Parents were appreciative and emotional seeing their kids link to Judaism.
Recently, JHP, along with other Jewish organizations including 400 people took part in Israel Fest on Delaware's campus. Israeli themes, food, live music, Bedouin tents & local stores on campus came out to support Israel.
To date, JHP along with Chabad on Campus is taking 80 students from Delaware to Israel on the Birthright Mayonot Trip June 4th-14th. A Birthright BBQ on May 13th on Delaware's campus is scheduled to orient & connect students going on the trip.
JHP/Chabad Sends 140 Penn Students to Israel
As a result of the recruiting efforts of Lindsay Teich, JHP Fellow and her interns, 140 Penn students have made reservations on Birthright Mayonot Israel Trips this month. Along with Lindsay & JHP/Chabad Rabbi Ephraim Levin, about half of them arrived in Israel this past Monday & the other half will leave for Israel end of the month.

AEPi, sponsored by Chabad, held a service in remembrance of Virginia Tech Prof. Liviu Librescu, a Holocaust survivor and professor of engineering science and mechanics at Virginia Tech, and all of those who died in the massacre.
