Pesach Seder - A JHP Family Affair

Prior to Pesach, JHP Interns & Fellows signed contracts to sell their chometz. As the YomTov approached, JHPers throughout our college communities held Seders with enthusiasm that was interactive, rejuvenating & reenacting, commemorating, Zeycher (remember) Le Pesach.

From chocolate Seders in the dorms at Binghamton to traditional Seders in student residences with their friends on Penn campus, JHP, all celebrating YomTov in unity, all reliving our exodus from bondage to freedom. - A JHP family affair -

Tent of Abraham

Lubavitch House/JHP distributed 500 lbs of Matzoh on Locust Walk for students to observe Le Pesach. While giving out Matzoh, a student band played & others sang Dai Yeinu.

Both nights, on the grounds of Lubavitch House/JHP, Seders were held for Penn students in a symbolic "tent of Abraham in the desert." To the joy of the crowds, Rabbi Levi Haskelevich conducted the Seders. During the Seders, discussion centered on each individual's overcoming obstacles, their personal exile, on their journey to freedom.

Heaven Brought Down To Earth

At the Old City Jewish Art Center (OCJAC) an unremitting flow of Jews, as if they were crossing the Red Sea, continually enter to see wondrous exhibits of Jewish art. Just like the beauty of heaven was brought down to earth in the splitting of the Red Sea, so goes the current works depicting the beauty & experience of Pesach.

One of the works on exhibit by Sharon Ritz, a mosaic artist, depicts this splitting of the Red Sea in a miraculous Seder plate. For a Complete listing of artists & works on display, go to www.jewishartcenter.com

From Prague To Wynnewood

All 15 Penn students that went to Prague on the Chabad/JHP Alternative Spring Break reunited at the residence of Rabbi Ephraim Levin & his wife Flora & family for a Seder, Zeycher Le Pesach.
