That's The Way The HamanTash Crumbles!

In Philadelphia, in parade fashion, through the main streets of Center City ending in Society Hill off of South, at Kildare's - Megillah readings throughout the night by Bucherim imported from Crown Heights to a crowd of 200 JHP/JBN young professional, alumni & student revelers. The place was packed as they uproariously became spiritually inebriated, celebrating the Days of Purim with Menachem's Baal Shem Tov Band, festive food & beverage.

At Singapore Restaurant, in Chinatown, Philly, JHP Penn students reveled in Chinese karaoke, Asian, & vegetarian Kosher food. It was Fakachtah crazy. The students then joined the crowd at Kildare's.

At Temple, a Purim bash at AE Pi. Everywhere Hamantashen, fruits, marshmallows & pretzels were coated with chocolate fondue. Megillah readings on site. The crowd roused in spirits to the Days of Purim.

At Smokes, on Penn's Campus, the mob, seniors & graduate students, while devouring Facocktails & Yamakazies, Hamantashen & Shalach Manos heard the Gantza Megillah from Yeshiva Bucherim & a Chassidic rock band from Brooklyn who the bartender coined, "The Jewish Doors."

Other Parties & Carnivals on JHP campuses turned the JHP community topsy turvy.
"Ok so I have been attending the Purim parties hosted by JHP since 1999 when it started at Lucy's Hat Shop with 30 people, reading the Story of Esther in the back room, and listening to the Rabbi jam (loudly in the small space).  I have seen the event grow out of Lucy's and into Lounge 125 where it was home for (I think) 4 years.

I attended another party last night and let me say that it couldn't hold a candle to last night's party.  Last night had to be the BEST event that JHP has hosted in the nine years that I have been a participate.  I didn't think it could top this years' Simcha Torah Crawl, but it did! The crowd was great; the location was spectacular; and the band's music was perfect for the room.  I have to congratulate George Shotz and Jennifer Birch for an amazing event.  You guys did a great job. Let's keep the good events rolling!!!!" -
