JHP Triumphant at Penn: Recruits 140 for Israel
These 140 students will spend an inspirational 10 days in Israel, linking to their heritage, trekking to Jerusalem, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Negev, the Dead Sea, the Kotel, rafting down the Jordan River, hiking in the Golan & visiting other Israel attractions. Through JHP efforts, this Mayanot Birthright trip is now booked solid, closed, no more applicants until the next trip in the winter.
On Friday, last Shabbos, a pre-Israel trip gathering at the Lubavitch House at Penn reinforced their Jewish connection, prepared them for the trip, bonded them together & ed-Jew-cated these students about Israel by playing Trivia Israeli Persuit.
JHP Brings Sunshine & Need to the Poor In the wake of a snowstorm, amidst bitter temperatures & icy driving conditions, JHP joined JRA last Sunday to pack and distribute Kosher Le Pesach food & a glimmer of sunshine to 2000 Jewish families in need throughout the Northeast section of Philadelphia.
"I was incredibly impressed by the amount of people that organize JRA each month. The process of packaging food was very efficient and organized. When our group finally arrived at the location to distribute our boxes of passover food I was so happy to be part of such a project. The elderly people were so happy to see us and in return I felt really amazing!"
