Purim In Philly - JHP Co-Sponsored with Chabad/Lubavitch House; Everywhere
“In the freezing cold,” wind chill in single digits, the Baal Shem Tov Band, with unwavering jubilance played to hundreds as other JHPers gave out Shalach Manos & Hamantashen, Megillah readings every 20 minutes; JHP brought Purim to the corner of 5th & South Streets.
JHP volunteers, Sherry Kendis & Rebitzen Chava Schmidt brought Purim to Jefferson, Pennsylvania & Magee hospitals by graciously giving Shalach Manos to patients who received the baskets with joy.
Lots & Lots of JHPers celebrating. Rittenhouse Square, Center City, University City, Best Western Hotel, Lounge 125, Old City, Haverford College, Main Line. Mummers, New Orleans Jazz Band, jugglers, Megillahs, costumes, feasts, families, kids partying everywhere.
Purim In New York - Family & JHP Alumni Ravel Rousing Lots & Lots of JHPers at Trump Place, on New York’s Upper West Side, JHP Family Purim Event, parents let their hair down partying together with their children, eating lox & bagels, Hamantashen, listening to Megillah readings & Jewish music, kids in outrageous costumes playing games & cavorting through the morning and early afternoon hours; continuing in merriment til’ late afternoon, more readings of the Megillah & a Champagne, Sushi Bash for JHP alumni.
On Campus at Binghamton - JHP Brings Purim to 2000 Students Co-sponsored with Lubavitch House, JHPers in full Purim regalia set up the "Hit Haman Toss," & carnival games in the East Gym on campus; made & gave out Shalach Manos to the 2000 students that paraded through the JHP Purim Carnival. Students enjoyed Hamantashen, devoured hotdogs in an eating contest, played games, danced, sang & pranced around the gym in holiday glee.
